SanaMente: Community-Led Mental Health Support

The Renée Crown Wellness Institute is proud to partner with La Clínica del Pueblo to co-create SanaMente — a culturally responsive, evidence-based mental health support program designed by and for the community.

Rooted in trust and cultural understanding, SanaMente will be peer-led and integrated into La Clínica’s existing lifestyle and wellness services. The program will be offered in Spanish to ensure accessibility for Spanish-speaking communities and will focus on meeting the specific needs of underserved populations.

By training community peer mentors, SanaMente aims to make mental health care more approachable, relevant, and effective. We are working hand-in-hand with local residents, community leaders, and mental health professionals to design a program that truly reflects the values and experiences of the people it serves.

Our commitment includes ongoing evaluation from July 2024 to June 2027 to measure the program’s impact and continuously refine its approach. We are also working toward long-term sustainability through strategic funding and partnerships — ensuring that this support continues well beyond the project timeline.

Together, we’re building lasting, meaningful mental health care for those who need it most.

Below you’ll find a series of video interviews and discussions covering topics like emotional wellness, family conversations, community support, and the connection between physical and mental health.
